Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod.

Just a reminder, the pre-sale is still happening for our live show October 19 at Auckland Sky City Theatre.

It's going to be the radio show but live on stage, all your favourite segments.

Guys.

And Haley will just be,

Look at me everybody!

Well speaking of looking at me,

Okay, I'm going to brainstorm and I'm going to share this with a podcast fan because

we're more intimate with you than we are with our general listeners.

I'm 33 years old, I'm 34 in a couple of weeks.

It's your birthday!

It's your birthday, baby!

Are we having big drinks for this?

Are we planning a...

Yeah baby!

Good.

Now, I am at the age, I'm ageing and I'm struggling with it in a way that I thought that I wouldn't.

And I was like, you know, I've talked about a little bit,

I'm thinking of getting a little bit of the tox.

A bit of the tox?

Just between the eyebrows, I've been thinking about it.

And then it conflicts me with my age gracefully body-positive rhetoric.

But when it's happening to me, it's harder.

And this is what people struggle with.

With portraying a body-positive image, sometimes they'll see something in the mirror

and they'll be like, well, that wasn't there when I made my stand.

But now it's there and I don't want it there.

I'm all about it.

I see a woman at a beach with beautiful wobbly bits and I'm like, that's hot and awesome

and look at you and then I'm my own bits can't wobble though, you know?

It's a weird thing.

It's a double standard.

It's a double standard.

What I find beautiful, I don't even let my hands off of it.

So why are you struggling with it?

Well, the reason I, because I was just like, no, I'm not going to do it.

I'm not going to do it in Botox or anything like that.

I see it too much and I find it a little disconcerting when people's faces don't move

and they talk.

And you know me, I always have eyebrows up, I always got a very expressive face.

Well, you can do it once, wears off, right?

Yeah, totally.

And then right, we know someone who knows someone and they reached out and was like,

hey, man, we'll hook you up.

Wait, we're free.

And you only really talk about getting a little bit dumb.

Oh, no, this is how it starts.

This is it, though.

And then you're one of those people that like, I'm frozen.

And you're frozen.

Well, this is what I was going to, because I don't want my face to look any different.

I just don't want that line to get any deeper.

And I'm not in any way saying that you shouldn't have wrinkles.

It's just something in my head is struggling with getting them.

So I, I wonder if I don't tap, I'm going to do it.

Yeah, so you've decided that you're doing it.

This is the thing.

It's not permanent.

It's not like breast implants or it's not like a huge or fillers or anything,

which I'm no, no, no, no, no for me.

Oh, no. If you've got fillers, I tell you.

Yeah, yeah.

But I, oh, you don't need these.

Thank you. I'm standing as it is.

Which is what I'm picking up from what you just said.

Yeah, exactly.

What you read between the lines.

Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of lines.

Now.

Vaughn's clocked out.

What?

Yes.

It's alright.

Someone just sent me a photo of a rebuilt carburetor for a Land Rover.

Oh, we've lost him.

We're fucking lost him, man.

He lost me the Land Rover car.

Well, Taley is opening up and having a really...

That's right.

I struggled to look into that beautiful,

ageless face over there and think it needs any work at all.

Whoa, he came back.

He knows. He knows.

He's clocked out of a couple of conversations with women

and had to come back into the drop of a hat.

I reckon why don't I not tell you when I'm going to get it?

I fucking love this idea.

And we, one day, this is the best.

And we, then we say, you've had it.

Yeah.

You've had Botox.

And I...

Only one shot each.

And I won't be...

You have free range to get it wrong and I'll be insulted.

Because actually, if you say you've had it and I go, no,

that's a compliment.

That's a compliment.

Because the line is shallow.

Well, because I don't know, man.

I don't know.

No.

If it's subtle.

Thousands and thousands and thousands of people get it done.

A small percentage of the ones that get it done,

you can tell they've had it done because they get a lot done.

Too much.

But the ones who just get a little subtle bit done.

Yeah.

Hard to tell.

Yeah.

I feel like you might have to tell me because I do move my face so much.

You're very expressive.

When I talk.

Oh, yeah.

Do a lot of this, a lot of frowning, a lot of this.

I don't want to lose movement.

I just...

But what about, what position is it going to be stuck in?

No, I don't want it to be stuck anywhere.

Like permanent shock.

You know, they'll get it done and they'll look permanently shocked.

And they move the eyebrows up.

Because what they say is that a lot of it is preventative.

So this is how it's going to start for you.

You go in for this line you can see.

And then they're going to say, well, why don't we just do some here and here.

A little bit on the sides.

And then, you know, because it's preventative.

And then as you're getting older, these are sort of sagging.

So we're going to get some fillers in the cheeks and then you get the cheekbones

and then we'll tuck that.

And then you're going to be getting Botox on your veg before you know it.

Yeah.

Why would I want my veg to not?

It's a slippery slope.

Her veg.

I mean, I think that's highly inappropriate of you to say so.

Sir.

That is an age.

Well, if I didn't find here is an HR issue, you just cannot.

Oh, no.

A slippery slope.

Oh, that's too good.

OK, well, I mean, this is going to be a fun game.

Stay tuned for my frozen face.

You know what we should do?

Get the bell that's out there.

Is that the shame bell still there from Game of Thrones?

The shame bell.

If it's the bell, we'll ring when she gets her Botox.

No, but we ring it.

When we get the Botox.

The Botox bell.

And we will ring it when we think you've had your Botox.

I cannot wait for the next month to see you guys sort of more

intently studying my face.

I can't say it from here.

Yeah, I know.

It's not super bad.

Frown like that, I can say it.

But I think everybody gets that.

Yeah, totally.

Well, I'm venturing into the world of Botox.
